A woman navigating breast cancer typically works with an oncologist, a surgeon, a radiation oncologist, oncology nurses, and — increasingly — a dietitian, a physical therapist, a mental health professional, and one or more integrative practitioners.
Each professional may be highly skilled, while communication across disciplines and settings remains limited or inconsistent.
